Shout out for CloudShout!

Just back from Izea Devasaurus put on by Ted Murphy, Founder/CEO of Izea. The idea behind Devasaurus is to get the Orlando Dev Community to meet the folks at Izea, foster local innovation and get us crazy O-town folks mingling.

I got to check out their offices, which were pretty cool and their new innovation, CloudShout which is a tool that enables conversation across blogs and websites. I have to tell you, I was very impressed. While I didn’t get the Dev Mumbo Jumbo, I definitely got the idea of what they were trying to accomplish — and it rocks.

They opened up their request for blogger and dev invites today for their alpha phase and I just signed up. They also announced their “Gadget Challenge” in which they are inviting developers to create the coolest gadgets for a chance to win a $5,000 prize to be awarded at IzeaFest.

Unfortunately, I will not be attending IzeaFest this time around as I’ll be walking 60-miles in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-day as captain of Affiliate Marketers Worldwide. Maybe the lucky winner, will donate some of their winnings to the walk ;-)

There are some slides of the presentation in my pictures.

Check them out and let me know what you think about CloudShout.

MissyWard.com runs on the Thesis Theme Framework

If you’re an affiliate who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, HTML, or CSS, Thesis will give you a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via extensive hooks and filters. And with so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site.

Those of you who are “in between,” like myself, can use the fantastic Thesis User’s Guide and world-class support forums to make more professional customizations than you ever thought possible. The theme is not only highly customizable, but it allows me to build sites with a much more targeted focus on monetization than ever before. You can find out more about Thesis below:

Hey Missy. So great that you got to meet the Izea team. They are great (and yes, their offices are so funky). Looking forward to a great Affiliate Summit and spending some time all together on the Party Bus and Blogger Lounge!

Thanks Ted –

While I didn’t get how it all works, all I care about is that it will :) Great offering and can’t wait to test it out!

Hope to see you in Boston or at our Social Media show in NYC.

Sam –

Whew — I’m glad that you told me that! I didn’t have the blonde hair excuse to use anymore ;-)

Those big Tech words you use are kinda hot though, lol.
