Andrew Wee Gets the Skinny on Affiliate Summit

by Missy Ward on March 9, 2009 · 1 comment

Last week, Andrew Wee of WhoIsAndrewWee.com interviewed Shawn Collins and I for his Friday Podcast Series. We got into the nitty-gritty of Affiliate Summit and our strategy for GeekCast.fm, FeedFront Magazine and AffStat.

Shawn provided some information on how to get started as a podcaster, while I unveiled plans for my new podcast, “The Spew,” that will debut on Geekcast.fm later this month.

We also discussed my rationale for selecting the DIYThemes Affiliate Program (ThesisAffiliates.com) to manage and a glimpse into what’s in store for Affiliate Summit 2009 East taking place in NYC, this coming August.

This is the second time this year that I’ve been lucky enough to make it onto Andrew’s Friday Podcast… I’ve decided to shoot for a hat trick if Andrew lets me. ;-)

MissyWard.com runs on the Thesis Theme Framework

If you’re an affiliate who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, HTML, or CSS, Thesis will give you a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via extensive hooks and filters. And with so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site.

Those of you who are “in between,” like myself, can use the fantastic Thesis User’s Guide and world-class support forums to make more professional customizations than you ever thought possible. The theme is not only highly customizable, but it allows me to build sites with a much more targeted focus on monetization than ever before. You can find out more about Thesis below:

Always a great time hanging out at Affiliate Summit, but it's so hard to track you and Shawn down there! I think there needs to be a podcast roundtable with the who's who of affiliate marketing- and it will occur at a MarketLeverage dinner!
