There will be fifty Gold Passes to Affiliate Summit West 2012 given away, each valued at $549 per pass. Winners will be notified by email or Twitter DM.

Some details on the Affiliate Summit Ticket Sweeps:

• Prize Eligibility: Only persons residing in United States who are at least 21 years of age can enter.
• Sweepstakes Starts: November 1, 2011 @ 12:01 am (EDT)

I’ve always been a power-walker. You know, those crazy-looking people that look like their bodies are undergoing spasms as they scurry, más rápido, down your neighborhood streets.

So, a year ago, I made a halfhearted attempt at giving running a whirl. It was my goal to eventually run in a 5k Race for the Cure. What I found was that training for a run was a lot more time-consuming than I had ever imagined and without having that extra time available to me in order to be consistent, there was just no way that I was going to be able to reach my goal.

That was then. This is now.

As part of my post-Affiliate-Summit-West-2010 “Get Healthy” regime, I started running again. So far, it’s helped reduce the stress of giving up a bad habit, has given me a little more stamina and has definitely helped improve my sleep.

So when my business partner Shawn came up with the idea create a running challenge for charity this weekend, I couldn’t have been more excited.

Here’s the deal:

Affiliate Summit has created a Nike+ Challenge where we will donate $1 to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade for each mile run (up to $5,000).

My Nike+ tracking device is on order and I’m just waiting for it to get here so I can start logging my runs. I’ve been using the Couch to 5k Running Program which has been great, but I’m anxious to connect with the rest of the folks in the challenge, which will be great motivation for me.

Secret World Outside PPC.

Yes, I know most of the top affiliate marketings and those super affiliates are promoting their affiliate programs via PPC. But tell you what, PPC is not the only thing you should do to make money via affiliate program. You have to look at the world outside search engines for a super success.

Here are few ways you can do the stuffs :

- Promote your site via youtube, metacafe etc via video marketing. These will bring some long term traffic.

- Search engine optimization – yes, few marketers go the other way (SEO) instead of paying for PPC campagins. SEO could be costly initially but it will also bring long term traffic. while on PPC, if you stop paying, your campaign ends.

- Facebook, Myspace etc – Teenagers and some other people visit social networking sites more often than search engines. Target these audience too.

- Keep writing reguarly some unique articles on your blog. keep promoting the product – not only on one blog, but on other sites/blog too. Point all the sites to your main landing page.

- Link baiting – all knows about this.

- Participate in forums, Blogs and related communities and plug your site wherever you get the chance.. (but within rules )

- Email marketing – yes this is also a great way to market your landing page/campagins. Build a big email list or you can buy some. Check aweber. This is also a long term promotion method.

- Free stuffs – give some free stuffs – softwares, ebooks, etc. Don’t forget to plug your site.

Try them out… don’t rely totally on PPC or you will not earn much Or you might even lose. Though this will not bring great $$ initially, but they will bring small revenue for a long long time.

While I don’t necessarily agree with all of these marketing strategies, the post was offered up some valuable suggestions.

In late 2006, Shawn Collins and I made a pledge to raise money in innovative ways for various charities that assist children; help out the families of stateside and deployed servicemen and women; and fund breast cancer research – a cause that is close to my heart.

We’ve launched cause-related sites such as ShiptoTroops.com and AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com; we’ve worn “unusual” sponsored logo-wear, held goofy contests; sold hugs; walked 120 miles; and together with Affiliate Summit attendees, we’ve raised over $127,000, since January, 2007.

All proceeds have gone directly to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters, March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, and Operation Homefront.

At the upcoming Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas this January, we’ll be holding another one of our entertaining fundraisers. All money raised from these events will benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

We will also be holding the first-ever Affiliate Triathlon, which will be held on Tuesday, January 13th at the Rio Hotel.

Every year, my family hits me with that age-old question… “What’s on your Holiday Wish List this year?”

You see, here’s the thing. Everything that I want (that doesn’t cost a small-fortune), I buy for myself over the course of the year.

I lack patience. It’s a flaw, I know. But, I’ve come to the realization that I’m not going to change, because I actually like this little imperfection that makes me, well.. me.
