Affiliate Summit East 2009 took place at the New York Hilton on August 9-11, 2009.

Peter Shankman, founder of HARO, was that keynote on Day 3 of the conference.

If you were not able to attend the conference, (or were unable to wake up in time for the keynote) here’s what you missed.

Peter Shankman was not only spot on when it came to the material he spoke about, but he was filled with some lively jokes that made me remember the good old ’80′s, when things were a lot more simple.

The next Affiliate Summit Conference & Trade Show takes place in Las Vegas, at the Rio Hotel on January 17-29, 2010.

Affiliate Summit East 2009 is on schedule to sell out by Friday, July 31, 2009, based on sales patterns of past Affiliate Summits.

Shawn Collins announced that as of yesterday, there were 325 registration slots remaining.

Well, as of this morning, there are now only 272 seats left.

If you’re planning on attending the conference, I wouldn’t delay registering any longer. Having been through many Affiliate Summit sell-outs before, it isn’t pretty. The wait list typically does not clear ahead of time and we can not guarantee that you will be able to get into the conference if you just show up.

The keynote speaker for Monday, August 10 is Chris Brogan, President of New Marketing Labs, and the keynote for Tuesday, August 11 will be Peter Shankman, founder and CEO of The Geek Factory.

This time around, Affiliate Summit will feature the largest exhibit hall and Meet Market of all of the Affiliate Summit East shows, with over 230 booths and tables to swing by.

There are a limited number of sponsorships still available, though all exhibitor booths are sold out.

I’m thrilled to announce that Affiliate Summit is “bringin’ back the ladies“, for this summer’s Affiliate Summit East 2009 (ASE09), taking place in New York City, August 9-11.

Jen Goode and Julie Vazquez are back for part deux after their outstanding performances at ASW09. Joining them will be “Heather in BC”.

Here’s a little bit about these fine women and what roles they’ll be playing, in conjunction with Affiliate Summit East 2009.

Jen Goode is the illustrator and owner of JGoode Designs. She has been a professional in the design industry and an advocate of new media and online marketing for artists since 1997. Jen will continue on in her role as “Affiliate Summit’s Mentor Program Priestess“. The Mentor Program provides first-time attendees an opportunity to be mentored by an Affiliate Summit veteran. “Heather in BC” authors three blogs, lives aboard the 52-foot ‘Jervis Mist’ five months of the year, and writes of her boating adventures, life in the beautiful Province of British Columbia, her 95 year young ‘Pop’ and daily family events. She also loves spreading news about the Social Media world. Heather will be taking on the role as the “Affiliate Summit’s Goddess of the Good Word“. In this role she’ll be conducting pre-conference interviews with Affiliate Summit East 2009 speakers and posting daily coverage recaps on the Affiliate Summit blog, during the event. Julie Vazquez is a social media junkie that loves blogging, SEO, and Twitter. Her dream job is to be a Social Media Manager for a super cool brand online.
