The topics that were discussed today were:

  • Bloggers are adding more affiliate marketing to their blog monetization. Why now and what are the opportunities for big-time bloggers and the little guy?
  • The opportunities for bloggers and advertisers with SocialSpark and PayPerPost
  • Why Affiliate Managers should be concentrating on recruiting bloggers and how to go about doing so the right way.
  • The financial effect that affiliate marketing has had on affiliates’ lives and the gamble getting into the industry. (We were too long-winded on the other topics that we decided to table this for another time).
  • Lisa Picarille debriefs us on Lobby Day in Sacramento

Show Notes:

  • Missy checks her ego and the door and makes a new rule that the weekly special guest shall always pick the opening music.

Orlando Tweetup

by Missy Ward Social Soul

Thanks to @orlandotweetup, 70+ Orlando Tweeps got the opportunity to meet face-to-face and network at Scruffy Murphy’s last night.

It was great to see old friends and meet people that I’ve only interacted with via Twitter.

Interestingly enough, the comment that I heard the most was that none of us would have ever known that we all lived locally, if Twitter didn’t exist.

So, thanks @biz, @jack and @ev ;-)

If you live in Central Florida and would like to connect with other Tweeps from the area, take a look at CFLTwitList.com — a little free service from me :)

Here are some pictures from the event:

Win a 1-Year Membership to theBizWebCoach.com Group Coaching Program

by Missy Ward Affiliate Marketing

Jim Kukral, has one of the most creative and business-savvy minds around. His marketing knowledge never ceases to amaze me and I am continuously inspired by him.

For the last 12+ years, Jim’s been busy teaching both small companies and businesses like Ernst & Young, Fedex, Sherwin Williams and more, how to maximize their online success and increase their profits.

Now, through TheBizWebCoach.com, he is providing access to a group coaching program in which his members can learn how to successfully use social media, create an online strategy to drive more leads and sales and get specific business-building action items to build their business.

What business owner wouldn’t want that?

Being the “Pay-it-Forward-Kinda-Girl” that I am, I asked Jim if he would provide me with a few seats in his group coaching program to give away to some lucky readers of MissyWard.com.

Save the Dates: Linkshare Symposium East in NYC – June 23rd

by Missy Ward Affiliate Marketing

I’m so excited. I just received notice that the annual LinkShare Symposium East is going to be taking place on Tuesday, June 23 in New York City.

And my favorite awards dinner – the annual Linkshare Golden Links Award dinner is the night before – Monday, June 22.

This is one of my must-attends, every year. Linkshare always puts on a very classy event packed with hundreds of top-notch affiliates, high-quality speakers and awesome networking opportunities.

Here are my pictures from last year’s event:
